Is Funding Pips Legit?

Funding Pips prop firm is a Dubai-based company. The firm holds ISO certification and applies KYC verification before processing withdrawals. It does not hold client funds. The temporary Trustpilot profile suspension in mid-2024 raised some concerns, though the profile was reinstated and the firm continued processing payouts throughout.

Funding Pips is not regulated by a major financial authority, which is typical for the prop firm industry. However, several signals support its legitimacy. The firm has distributed over $200 million in verified payouts tracked through Rise and PayoutJunction. Its 4.5/5 Trustpilot rating and more than 53,800 reviews, while not immune to criticism, reflect a large and active user base.

The funded accounts range from $5,000 to $200,000 through four distinct evaluation paths and a 1:100 leverage offering. Funding Pips offers scaling potential of up to $2,000,000.

fundingpips-overview-propfirmsfinder

The negative feedback typically centers on funded-stage rule enforcement, slippage during volatile sessions, and the gap between evaluation and funded account rules - particularly regarding news trading restrictions and consistency scores. These are legitimate concerns, but they relate to rule interpretation rather than outright fraud or payout denial.

This review covers Funding Pips' challenge programs, trading rules, profit splits, platforms, pricing, and reputation to help traders decide whether the firm fits their goals and trading style.

What Is Funding Pips?

Funding Pips was founded in 2022 by Khaled Ayesh and is headquartered in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The prop firm operates under FP Funding LLC and is registered in Cyprus under registration number HE 450941, with a registered address in Nicosia. The company’s founder, Ayesh, was a professional gold trader.

The firm has distributed over $200 million in payouts, verified through the Rise blockchain and third-party tracking platform PayoutJunction, across more than 127,000 transactions. As of March 2026, Funding Pips holds a 4.5 out of 5 rating on Trustpilot based on more than 49k reviews. Around 82% of the reviews are five-star ratings. The company claims a user base of over 1.5 million traders across 195+ countries.

The firm previously partnered with Blackbull Markets for MT5 platform access. After MetaQuotes introduced stricter licensing requirements in 2024 - a move that affected multiple prop firms industry-wide - Funding Pips transitioned to alternative platform arrangements and temporarily suspended operations before resuming. The company does not currently disclose its broker partner publicly.

Funding Pips Evaluation Programs

Funding Pips offers four paths to a funded account: the 2-Step Standard, 2-Step Pro, 1-Step, and Zero (Instant Funding). Each program targets a different risk tolerance, budget, and experience level.

All evaluation accounts use simulated trading environments. Also, none of the programs have a time limit for completion. Check the summary table below woth more details:

2-Step Standard

The 2-Step Standard is Funding Pips' flagship program and arguably its strongest offering. Phase 1 requires an 8% profit target, and Phase 2 drops to 5%. The daily loss limit is 5%, and the maximum overall drawdown is 10% - both static, meaning the drawdown floor stays fixed at the original balance regardless of equity growth.

  • Leverage is 1:100, the highest of any Funding Pips program.
  • You must complete at least 3 trading days per phase.
  • There is no consistency rule during the evaluation stages.
  • Weekend holding is permitted, and news trading is unrestricted throughout the evaluation.

Once funded, the 35% consistency rule applies only if the On-Demand payout cycle is selected. Evaluation fees are refundable after the 4th payout on the funded account.

2-Step Pro

The Funding Pips Pro version is the most affordable entry point, starting at $29 for a $5,000 account. It features lower profit targets of around 6% per phase, paired with tighter risk parameters: a 3% daily loss limit and 6% maximum static drawdown. Leverage is capped at 1:100, but it varies depending on the financial instruments you choose to trade.

The key trade-off is the 45% consistency rule, which applies during both the evaluation and funded stages. This means no single trading day can account for more than 45% of total profits. Swing traders and position traders who rely on a few high-conviction trades may find this restrictive. The minimum trading days requirement is 1 day per phase. Evaluation fees for the Pro program are not refundable.

1-Step Challenge

The 1-Step Challenge condenses the evaluation into a single phase with a 10% profit target. The daily loss limit is 4%, and the maximum drawdown is 6% (static). Leverage is 1:50, and the minimum trading requirement is 3 days.

While faster in theory, the higher profit target combined with tighter drawdown makes this statistically harder to pass than the 2-Step Standard for most traders. There is no consistency rule during the evaluation. Once funded, the 35% consistency rule applies only if the On-Demand payout option is chosen. Evaluation fees are refundable after the 4th payout.

Zero - Instant Funding

The Zero program provides immediate access to a funded account with no evaluation phase. You start earning from day one, and the profit split is 95% on a bi-weekly payout schedule. However, the rules are significantly stricter than any other Funding Pips model:

  • The maximum drawdown is 5% and trailing, not static. This is the critical difference.
  • The drawdown floor follows the highest equity upward and never resets downward. As the account grows, the margin for error shrinks. The trailing stops only after the trader locks in 5% profit above the starting balance.
  • Additionally, a 3% daily loss limit, a 1% floating loss cap per trade, a 15% consistency requirement, and a minimum of 7 profitable days per 30-day cycle all apply.

The 3% safety cushion rule means the first 3% of profits cannot be withdrawn. Combined with the 1% minimum withdrawal threshold, you effectively need to generate at least 4% profit before their first payout.

❌ Weekend holding and news trading are both prohibited on Zero accounts.

❌ Evaluation fees are not refundable.

❌ Multiple reviewers caution that Zero accounts are substantially harder to maintain than standard funded accounts despite the appeal of skipping the evaluation.

Trading Rules and Restrictions

Funding Pips applies a structured set of trading rules that vary by program and shift between the evaluation and funded stages. Understanding these differences is essential before purchasing a challenge, and this is why we summarized the main rules below:

Maximum Daily Loss

The daily loss limit varies by program:

  • 5% on the 2-Step Standard,
  • 4% on the 1-Step,
  • and 3% on both the 2-Step Pro and Zero.

The daily loss calculation is based on the higher of equity or balance at the daily reset. Breaching this limit results in immediate account termination (hard breach).

Maximum Overall Drawdown

  • The 2-Step Standard offers the most generous overall drawdown at 10%, and it is static.
  • The 1-Step and 2-Step Pro both use a 6% static drawdown.
  • The Zero program uses a 5% trailing drawdown, the only Funding Pips model with a trailing mechanic.

πŸ“ŒA Static drawdown means the floor is set at the original account balance and does not move, regardless of how high the equity rises. This is a meaningful advantage over trailing models offered by many competing firms.

Consistency Rule

Funding Pips does not enforce a consistency rule on the 2-Step Standard or 1-Step evaluations. However, a 35% consistency rule applies on funded accounts for traders who select the On-Demand payout cycle. The 2-Step Pro carries a 45% consistency rule during both evaluation and funded stages. The Zero program has a 15% consistency requirement, meaning the best single trading day cannot exceed 15% of total profits in the payout cycle.

The consistency rule is one of the most debated aspects of Funding Pips. Traders who choose bi-weekly or monthly payout cycles on Standard and 1-Step accounts can avoid consistency restrictions entirely on their funded account.

News Trading Restrictions

During evaluation phases, news trading is fully permitted on all programs except Zero. Once funded, restrictions apply: for 1-Step, 2-Step Standard, and Pro accounts, profits from trades opened or closed within 5 minutes before or after a high-impact news event are excluded from the payout (soft breach - not account termination).

βœ… There is one exception: trades opened at least 5 hours before a news event can be closed during the restricted window with profits counted. Zero accounts face a wider 10-minute restriction window on each side, and news trading is generally prohibited.

This difference between evaluation and funded rules catches many traders off guard. Some sources suggest that choosing the On-Demand payout cycle allows unrestricted news trading on funded 1-Step and 2-Step accounts, though we advise you to verify this directly with Funding Pips before relying on it.

Prohibited Strategies

Funding Pips prohibits gap trading, high-frequency trading (HFT), server spamming, latency or reverse arbitrage, toxic trading flow, hedging, long-short arbitrage, tick scalping, and server execution manipulation. Opposite account trading, third-party account management, and copy trading with external accounts are also banned.

Expert Advisors (EAs) are allowed only for trade management and risk management purposes. Automated strategies designed for HFT, arbitrage, or speed exploitation will result in account termination.

βœ… Internal copy trading between a trader's own Funding Pips accounts is permitted. External copy trading is supported via Prop Firm One (PF1), which enables trade execution across multiple firms from a single platform.

Funded Account Conditions

After passing an evaluation, you will undergo KYC verification and account setup handled by Funding Pips' Responsible Trading Team, which is typically completed within two working days. Once verified, you will be requested to sign a customer agreement, and the Master (funded) account is activated.

Profit Split

Funding Pips uses a tiered profit split structure where the percentage depends on the payout frequency selected.

  • For 1-Step and 2-Step Standard funded accounts: the Tuesday Payday (weekly) option pays 60%, bi-weekly pays 80%, On-Demand pays 90%, and monthly pays 100%.
  • The 2-Step Pro offers daily and weekly payouts at 80%.
  • The Zero program pays 95% on a bi-weekly schedule.

This system gives you a meaningful choice: faster access to profits at a lower percentage, or patience rewarded with a higher split. The minimum withdrawal is 1% of the original account balance (including the firm's share).

Payout Schedule, Process and Methods

Payouts are primarily available on Tuesdays ("Tuesday Payday"). Depending on when a Master account is activated, the first payout may be available as soon as the next day or after up to four trading days.

➑️ Payouts are processed via Rise (Riseworks) or USDT, with processing typically taking 1 to 3 business days. Transactions under $500 are sent via USDT with a flat $10 fee.

Funding Pips states a zero reward denial policy. Payouts are subject to exchange rates and processing fees. The evaluation fee is refunded after the 4th payout for 1-Step and 2-Step Standard accounts only, not for Pro or Zero programs.

Scaling Plan

Funding Pips offers a four-tier scaling program that increases capital and relaxes drawdown limits based on consistent performance. Scale-ups are calculated from the original account size. You can merge accounts up to $300,000, and scaling can push total allocation up to $2,000,000.

The Hot Seat tier represents the top level. At this stage, you receive on-demand payouts, a 100% profit split, access to up to $2,000,000 in capital, and monthly performance bonuses. Reaching Hot Seat requires sustained profitability over multiple months, making it a long-term goal rather than a short-term target.

Platforms and Tradeable Instruments

Trading Platforms

Funding Pips supports three primary trading platforms:

  1. MetaTrader 5 (MT5),
  2. cTrader, and
  3. Match-Trader.

Bear in mind that choosing cTrader adds $20 to the evaluation fee, while MT5 and Match-Trader carry no additional platform charge. Additionally, platform availability depends on the your country of residence:

❌ US residents cannot use MetaTrader or cTrader and are limited to Match-Trader.

❌ Canadian residents cannot use MetaTrader but can access cTrader and Match-Trader.

βœ… Funding Pips also provides a clean trading dashboard for tracking account metrics, challenge progress, and performance statistics.

Markets and Asset Classes

Funding Pips offers approximately 48 tradeable instruments across five asset classes: forex pairs, cryptocurrencies, metals, energies, and indices. While this is slightly below the industry average, it covers the most actively traded markets. Standard commissions are $5 per lot round trip for 1-Step, 2-Step, and Pro accounts, and $7 per lot round trip for Zero accounts.

A swap-free add-on is available at checkout for all accounts. This adds 10% to the evaluation fee, reduces leverage, and increases commissions on forex and metals to $10 per lot round trip. The firm advertises raw spreads starting from 0 pips, though it does not publish average or minimum spread data publicly.

Pricing and Challenge Costs

Funding Pips offers five account tiers across each program: $5,000, $10,000, $25,000, $50,000, and $100,000. Pricing varies by program and account size. The ranges below reflect standard published fees without add-ons or discounts:

Program

Starting Price ($5K)

Maximum Price ($100K)

2-Step Pro From $29 Up to $289

2-Step Standard

From $36

Up to $444

1-Step From $59 Up to $555

Zero (Instant Funding)

From $49

Up to $499

The 2-Step Pro offers the lowest barrier to entry at every account size, making it attractive for traders testing the waters or on a tight budget. The Zero program's higher fees reflect the immediate access to funded capital without an evaluation phase.

➑️ What are the payment methods to buy challenges? Accepted payment methods include credit/debit cards, Skrill, Neteller, Paysafecard, Astropay, PayPal, cryptocurrency, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and wire transfer.

Who Is Funding Pips Best For?

Funding Pips suits you if you value flexible evaluation options and competitive pricing. The 2-Step Standard, with its 10% static drawdown and 1:100 leverage, gives patient traders room to operate without the pressure of a trailing drawdown or strict time limits. Swing traders and those who prefer the London-New York overlap session can benefit from the no-time-limit structure.

The 2-Step Pro is suited for budget-conscious traders willing to accept tighter risk parameters and a consistency rule in exchange for a $29 entry price. Scalpers working with tight stops and frequent small wins may manage the consistency requirement well.

The Zero program targets experienced traders with a proven, consistent edge who want to skip the evaluation entirely. Its tight rules, particularly the trailing drawdown and 1% floating loss cap, make it unsuitable for most traders, especially those who use wider stops or swing strategies.

Funding Pips is less suitable for US-based traders, as the firm does not currently accept new US accounts. Traders who rely heavily on news-event volatility should also weigh the funded-stage restrictions carefully, as these differ from the more permissive evaluation rules.

Pros

  • Four distinct evaluation paths catering to different experience levels and budgets
  • Static drawdown model utilized on three out of the four available account types
  • Proven track record with verified payouts and fast 1-3 day processing
  • Industry-leading profit splits of up to 100% available at the Hot Seat tier
  • Entry pricing starting from just $29 for a $5K Pro account
  • No time limits on evaluations, allowing traders to progress at their own pace
  • Aggressive scaling plan allowing total allocation up to $2M with structured progression
  • Evaluation fee refund provided after the 4th payout for 1 Step and 2 Step models

Cons

  • Rules differ between evaluation and funded stages, which can catch unprepared traders off guard
  • Consistency rules apply to specific payout cycles and account programs
  • The firm doesn't accept traders from the UAE, Iran, and Vietnam
  • Selecting the cTrader platform adds an extra $20 to the initial evaluation fee
  • Broker partner identity is not publicly disclosed
  • Profits from trades opened or closed within a 5-minute news window are voided on funded accounts

Frequently Asked Questions

As of March 2026, Funding Pips does not accept new US trader accounts due to regulatory restrictions. Existing US accounts may have limited platform access, typically restricted to Match-Trader only.

Funding Pips supports MetaTrader 5, cTrader, and Match-Trader. Note that choosing cTrader adds an additional $20 to the evaluation fee, and platform availability may vary based on your country of residence.

No. All Funding Pips evaluation programs offer unlimited time. While there is no maximum limit, there is a minimum trading day requirement: 3 days for most programs and 1 day for the Pro evaluation.

The consistency rule limits the percentage of total profits allowed from a single day: 45% for 2-Step Pro, 35% for On-Demand payouts on Standard/1-Step, and 15% for Zero accounts. Traders opting for bi-weekly or monthly payouts on Standard and 1-Step accounts can avoid this rule entirely.

Weekend holding is permitted on all evaluation and funded programs except for the Zero account. Holding positions over the weekend on a Zero account will result in an immediate account breach.

News trading is unrestricted during evaluations (except on Zero). On funded accounts, profits from trades opened or closed within 5 minutes of high-impact news are voided. However, trades opened at least 5 hours before the news event are exempt from this restriction.

Payouts are handled via Rise (Riseworks) or USDT within 1 to 3 business days. The minimum withdrawal is 1% of the initial balance, and withdrawals under $500 are paid in USDT with a flat $10 fee.

The evaluation fee is refunded upon your 4th successful payout for 1-Step and 2-Step Standard accounts. Evaluation fees for 2-Step Pro and Zero accounts are non-refundable.

The initial account purchase is capped at $100,000, but traders can merge accounts up to a total of $300,000. Through the scaling plan and Hot Seat tier, total allocation can reach up to $2,000,000.

The Hot Seat Program is FundingPips' highest trader tier. After achieving 16 successful rewards and 40% total profit, you reach Elite Trader status, which unlocks a 100% profit split, doubled initial balance, on-demand rewards, up to $2 million in capital, customized trading conditions, and monthly bonuses ranging from $100 to $500 depending on your account size.
