How The 5%ers Operates

The 5%ers operates differently from most prop firms since funded accounts trade with the firm’s real capital, not in simulated environments. When you pass the evaluation and receive a funded account, your trades are executed on live markets through the firm’s liquidity providers. This means real spreads, real execution, and real market conditions.

The process follows a standard progression we listed below:

1. Choose a program and account size. There are 3 alternatives: Hyper Growth, High Stakes, or Bootcamp.
2. Pay a one-time evaluation fee, and complete the evaluation phases as required.
3. You will have to hit the profit target without breaching drawdown limits. 
4. Get a funded account with real capital, for real trades.
5. Trade toward payouts while the account scales at each profit milestone.
6. Profit splits increase as the account grows, reaching up to 100%.

📌 Bear this in mind: There are no time limits on any evaluation. You can take as long as needed to hit targets. However, you must comply with the 30-day inactivity rule. In other words, if your account doesn't show any trading activity for 30 consecutive days, it will be automatically closed.

The5ers Program Overview: Three Paths to Funding

As we noted earlier, The5ers offer traders 3 funding options. The Hyper Growth Program allows you to grow your account up to $4M, trade over the weekend, and receive payments every 2 weeks. 1. Hyper Growth Program: The Specifics 

The Hyper Growth program is The 5%ers’ flagship one-step evaluation. It provides the fastest path to funding and features the most aggressive scaling plan: the account doubles at each 10% profit milestone, all the way to $4 million. The tradable assets in this account are FX, metals, and indices through cTrader and Mt5 Hedge platforms.

✅ The strongest points we found out: The consistency between remain identical across both the evaluation and funded phases, removing any unpleasant surprises after passing the eval.The profit target, maximum loss, and daily pause remain the same. Another advantage is the absence of minimum trades or days requirements.

❌ The weakest point of this program: The maximum starting capital per trader of $40,000 may restrict the earning potential if you are looking to scale aggressively.

As for the 3% daily pause, it works as a soft mechanic, trading pauses until 00:00 MT5 Server Time. This is not a breach, it protects you from further losses during a bad day without penalization. Here's a summary of the parameters for the Hyper Growth Account:

📌 IMPORTANT ABOUT THE MAX CAPITAL PER TRADER: The $40K is not a standalone account size; it's a maximum starting capital limit per trader. You reach it by combining multiple smaller accounts. For example:

• 4 × $10K accounts

• 2 × $20K accounts

• 1 × $20K + 1 × $10K + 2 × $5K accounts

As a result, you cannot open a single $40K evaluation account, but you can accumulate up to that cap by purchasing multiple accounts across the available sizes ($5K, $10K, $20K). Since the $40K is just a combination of smaller accounts, each account has to be purchased separately and carries its own individual fee. For instance, if you go with 2 × $20K, you would pay the $20K fee twice.

2. High Stakes Program: Full Details

The High Stakes program is a traditional 2-step evaluation designed for experienced traders who want higher leverage (up to 1:100 on forex) and a direct path to funded trading. The evaluation fee is refunded if you successfully complete the evaluation.

There are 6 account sizes for this program: $2.5K, $5K, $10K, $25K, $50K, and $100K. The payments on this account are available every 14 days via Crypto, Wise (Rise), or Bank Transfer.

✅ The positive points we found out: The unlimited time to complete both phases erases the pressure of daily or monthly deadlines. Additionally, this program stands out for its high starting profit split of 80%, which increases up to 100% as you scale the account. Finally, the requirement of only 3 minimum profitable days per phase is relatively accessible, and the fee refund upon passing makes the entry cost risk-free if you succeed.

❌ The other side of the High Stakes Program: The 5% daily loss is a hard breach and a 10% maximum overall loss, unlike Hyper Growth’s soft pause. This means that a bad day can directly breach the account rather than pause it. Besides, news trading is not allowed: no orders 2 min before/after high-impact news.

📌 Note: The scaling potential in High Stakes reaches up to $500,000, which is significantly lower than Hyper Growth's $4M ceiling. That said, the program compensates with fixed monthly payouts at higher balance tiers ($4,000/month at $350K and $10,000/month at $500K). This adds an income stability layer not found in Hyper Growth.

3. Bootcamp Program: Complete Parameters

The Bootcamp is a 3-step evaluation designed for developing traders. One of its most appealing features is the split fee model, in which you pay a small upfront payment, with the balance due only after passing. There is a mandatory stop-loss with 2% maximum risk per trade.

✅ The upsides of the Bootcamp Program: It offers a scaling path up to $4M, the highest ceiling among all three The5ers programs, with profit splits starting at 50% and reaching 100% at $2.5M, plus fixed monthly payouts of $4,000 at $350K and $10,000 at $500K.

❌ However, the lower starting split of 50% compared to High Stakes' 80% is a clear disadvantage in the early stages. The funded account also introduces a stricter 4% max loss (down from 5% during evaluation) and a 3% daily pause, which traders must account for when transitioning from the challenge to live trading. Each account must use a different trading method, this limits you if you rely on a single strategy across multiple accounts.

The5ers Drawdown Mechanics Explained

After analyzing the official documentation in the help center, we can confirm that The 5%ers uses a static or fixed drawdown limits across all programs. This becomes a significant advantage over other firms using trailing drawdowns. Rather than recalculating the breach level every time equity reaches a new peak, The5ers fixes the stop-out floor as a percentage below the account balance, and that floor only moves upward as the trader accumulates profits and grows the account. 

Payouts, however, reduce the account balance and therefore lower the drawdown allowance accordingly. The daily loss mechanics differ by program, for instance, Hyper Growth and funded Bootcamp accounts use a 3% soft daily pause that halts trading until the next day without terminating the account, while High Stakes applies a 5% hard daily loss limit that results in permanent account closure if breached.

📌 Why static drawdown matters: With trailing drawdown, every new equity peak permanently raises your breach level. With static drawdown, the breach level is fixed at a percentage below your starting balance and never moves. 

📌 Daily Pause vs. Daily Loss Limit: Hyper Growth and Bootcamp (funded) use a 3% “daily pause” — trading freezes for the day but the account is NOT terminated. High Stakes uses a 5% hard daily loss limit — hitting it terminates the account permanently.

What's The Payout Structure The 5ers Offer?

Profit payouts are not deducted from the account balance, and withdrawing profits does not reduce your funded capital or reset your drawdown. Payouts are made when you pass to the funded stage. The 14-day payout cycle resets each time the account scales to a new level.

As for the withdrawal fee information, we found a downside: charges apply when withdrawing. A 2–3% commission on every payout is a real cost that compounds over time. Verify this before withdrawing. Take into cosideration these details about the payouts:

Trading Rules

Overnight and Weekend Holding

Holding positions overnight and over the weekend is allowed on all programs. However, you must remember that you are responsible for swap costs, market gaps, and liquidity risks.

News Trading

News trading is allowed on Hyper Growth and Bootcamp with one restriction: bracket strategies (simultaneous pending orders around news) are prohibited. On High Stakes, executing orders within 2 minutes before or after high-impact news is not allowed. Any profits made during this window are deducted from the account.

Expert Advisors (EAs) and Automated Trading

EAs are permitted on all account types, as long as they do not copy other traders' signals, are not used for arbitrage, latency exploitation, HFT, or scalping bots that exploit price feed inefficiencies.

Copy Trading

Traders may copy their own trades across their own accounts, but copying another person’s signals is not allowed. Multiple Bootcamp accounts must each use a different strategy.

Hedging

Hedging within a single account is allowed, but Cross-account hedging (between multiple The 5%ers accounts or with other prop firms) is prohibited.

Inactivity Rule

Accounts without trading activity for 30 consecutive days are automatically closed. The counter starts from the registration date.

No Consistency Rule

The 5%ers does not enforce a consistency rule on any program. There is no requirement that daily profits stay below a percentage of total profits.

Prohibited Practices: Read Before Purchasing

The following are strictly forbidden across all programs and stages:

The 5%ers does not serve traders from approximately 44 countries, including Afghanistan, Cuba, Iran, Iraq, North Korea, Syria, Russia, and others. US-based traders are currently restricted.

As for KYC, it is not required during the registration process, but it becomes mandatory at the funded stage. You must provide the firm with a government ID and a proof of address. Swap-free (Islamic) accounts are available.
