All challenges have a 1-Step evaluation with no time limit, no activation fees, and no monthly subscriptions.
For this review we tested the platform and services. You will find technical details about challenges, drawdown mechanics, trading rules, payout structure and more, all organized in comparison tables for a faster visualization. Is FundedNext Futures worth it for you? Find out below.
How FundedNext Futures Operates

FundedNext Futures operates a simulated trading evaluation model. All trading during both the Challenge and FundedNext Account stages occurs on simulated accounts.
What caught our eye was the fact that there is no Verification phase. All FundedNext Futures challenges are single-step evaluations. The process works in these stages:
๐ Challenge Phase (1-Step): Purchase a challenge → Trade on simulated capital → Hit the profit target while staying within loss limits and, if applicable, comply with the consistency rule → Pass the challenge.
๐ FundedNext Account (Funded Stage): Receive a simulated funded account → Trade with the same account size → Earn Performance Rewards of 80% of profits → Request withdrawals when eligible.
๐ Live Trading Program (Advanced): After accumulating $100,000+ in total active profits across all FundedNext Accounts, you have the potential to be selected to transition to live capital trading with real money.
Note: The program features no daily loss limit on Rapid and Legacy challenges, an end-of-day trailing maximum loss, news trading allowed at all stages, and a guaranteed 24-hour reward payout (or FundedNext pays a $1,000 penalty). You access CME Group futures across four exchanges (CME, CBOT, NYMEX, COMEX) through Tradovate, NinjaTrader, and TradingView.
Challenge Types Overview
FundedNext Futures offers three distinct challenge models, each designed for different trading styles. Check our full overview, and in the following sections, the full parameters.

Rapid Challenge
Built for speed and flexibility. This challenge doesn't have a daily loss limit or consistency rule. You can pass in a single day. The consistency rule of 40% applies only after transitioning to the FundedNext Account. No 15% Challenge Phase reward.
Legacy Challenge
Built for discipline and structure. It includes a daily loss limit (soft breach) and the 40% consistency rule during the challenge phase. You earn a 15% Performance Reward from profits generated during the Challenge Phase itself, a unique feature among prop firms.
Bolt Challenge
The most affordable and fastest entry point. This challenge features a $50,000 account at $99.99 with a $3,000 profit target, $1,000 daily loss limit, and $2,000 trailing max loss. The 40% consistency rule applies during the challenge phase. However, there is a limited availability; the Bolt was a limited-time offering and may not always be available for new purchases.

Key Differences: Rapid vs. Legacy vs. Bolt
The Rapid Challenge is the most flexible option. It doesn't have a daily loss limit or consistency rule during the evaluation stage. It makes an ideal alternative for aggressive traders who want speed.
The Legacy Challenge is more structured with daily limits and consistency requirements during the challenge but rewards traders with a 15% profit share from the Challenge Phase itself and removes the consistency rule on the FundedNext Account.
The Bolt is the cheapest entry point but has more restrictive withdrawal caps. Additionally, it could be unavailable.

FundedNext Futures Drawdown Mechanics
Start by understanding the drawdown mechanics of this firm. We reviewed it for you and here's the proof:
Maximum Loss Limit (MLL) - Trailing End-of-Day
The Maximum Loss Limit is the core risk rule across all FundedNext Futures accounts. It follows a trailing end-of-day (EOD) system:
- It updates once per day based on the highest balance your account reached that day.
- It does not change in real-time during trading hours.
- It trails upward when your balance increases, but never moves downward.
- Once the MLL reaches the initial account balance, it locks and stops trailing.
Take a look at this practical example (Rapid $100K, MLL = $3,500):
• Starting breach level: $100,000 − $3,500 = $96,500
• Day 1 closes at $102,000 → new breach level: $102,000 − $3,500 = $98,500
• Day 2 closes at $101,000 → breach level stays at $98,500 (high-water mark was $102K)
• Day 3 closes at $103,500 → new breach level: $103,500 − $3,500 = $100,000 (MLL now locked at starting balance)
• Day 4+ → breach level permanently fixed at $100,000
โ ๏ธ If your equity reaches the MLL at any point, including during active trading with floating losses, the account is permanently breached. This is a hard breach and the account cannot be recovered.
โ ๏ธ A Critical Warning: If your floating loss reaches the MLL during an active trade, your account will be instantly breached, even though the MLL normally updates only at EOD.
Daily Loss Limit (DLL) — Legacy and Bolt Only
The daily loss limit is the maximum you can lose in a single trading day. It includes closed losses, floating (unrealized) losses, commissions, and fees. The DLL trails from the highest EOD balance, meaning if your balance grows, the daily loss threshold adjusts upward.
โ ๏ธ Soft Breach: Hitting the DLL causes a soft breach. Trading will be paused for the rest of the day. It resets at the start of the next trading day, but your account is not terminated.
As for the Rapid Challenge, there is no daily loss limit. Only the MLL applies.

The Consistency Rule
The 40% consistency rule means no single trading day's profit can exceed 40% of the total profit target (during the Challenge) or 40% of total profits (on the FundedNext Account).
Here's where it applies and where it doesn't:
- โ Rapid FundedNext Account: Applied (40%)
- โ Rapid Challenge Phase: Not applied
- โ Legacy Challenge Phase: Applied (40%)
- โ Legacy FundedNext Account: Not applied (for purchases/resets after November 21, 2025)
- โ Bolt Challenge Phase: Applied (40%, max $1,200/day)
- โ Bolt FundedNext Account: Not applied
Example (Rapid $50K FundedNext Account): If your total profit is $2,500, the 40% limit = $1,000. No single day's profit can exceed $1,000. If one day produces $1,200, you must continue trading until total profit exceeds $3,000 ($1,200 / 0.40 = $3,000) for the ratio to fall below 40%.
Exceeding the consistency rule does not immediately breach the account. It means you cannot withdraw until the ratio drops below 40%.
The FundedNext Account: Funded Stage
After passing the challenge, be ready to get your FundedNext Account, a simulated funded account where Performance Rewards can be earned and withdrawn.
Rapid FundedNext Account
• No benchmark days required before first withdrawal
• 40% consistency rule applies
• No daily loss limit
• MLL continues (trailing EOD, locks at initial balance)
• First withdrawal available as early as 3 days after funding
• Withdrawal caps apply initially: $800 (25K), $1,500 (50K), $2,500 (100K)
• After 5 Performance Reward withdrawals, caps are completely removed
• Reward Share: 80%
Legacy FundedNext Account
• 5 benchmark days required before first Performance Reward request
• No consistency rule (for purchases/resets after November 21, 2025)
• Daily loss limit applies (soft breach)
• MLL continues (trailing EOD, locks at initial balance)
• Before 30 benchmark days: withdraw up to 50% of profit, capped at $3,000 (25K), $6,000 (50K), $6,000 (100K)
• After 30 benchmark days: withdraw up to 100% of profit, all caps removed
• Reward Share: 80%
Key FundedNext Account Rules (Both Types)
• Reward Share: 80% of the requested Performance Reward amount
• Minimum withdrawal: $250
• Must accumulate at least $500 before requesting a withdrawal of $250
• First withdrawal resets the MLL to the initial account balance
• Withdrawing 100% of your simulated profit triggers a hard breach (because the MLL is trailing and locks at the initial balance)
• Cannot reset a FundedNext Account — manage withdrawals carefully
• No time limit on the FundedNext Account
• No profit target on the FundedNext Account
Benchmark Days
Benchmark days are specific to the Legacy FundedNext Accounts. A benchmark day is a trading day where the account is active and trades are executed.
Legacy traders must complete 5 benchmark days before their first withdrawal request, and 30 benchmark days to unlock unlimited withdrawal amounts (100% of profit). Rapid accounts do not require benchmark days.
Payout Structure
FundedNext Brand Promise: FundedNext guarantees reward processing within 24 hours. If they fail to process within 24 hours, they pay the trader a $1,000 penalty. The 24-hour countdown begins when the Performance Reward request is submitted.
๐ Average disbursement time is of approximately 5 hours.
The withdrawal methods you have available are Bank transfer, crypto (USDT TRC-20, USDC), Rise, and Wise.

Commissions
There is a commission of $3 per contract per side ($6 round-trip per contract). Also, an Exchange and regulatory fee: $1 per contract on close only (set by CME Group/CFTC). The total per completed trade is of $7 per contract ($6 commission + $1 exchange fee).
This applies equally to both E-mini and micro contracts.
Commissions are factored into daily loss and maximum loss calculations. Take this example: Trading 5 contracts: $30 commission ($15 open + $15 close) + $5 exchange fees on close = $35 total.

- NinjaTrader: Desktop application with advanced charting, SuperDOM, automated trading module (ATM), and algorithmic strategy support.
- TradingView: Browser-based with industry-leading charting, community indicators, and direct order execution.
All platforms provide full CME market access. The Platform choice does not affect account rules or trading conditions.
Overnight and Weekend Holding
Overnight and weekend holding is strictly prohibited on FundedNext Futures at all stages, no matter if it is a Challenge or a FundedNext Account. The rules:
- All positions must be closed by 3:10 PM Central Time (CT) every day (Monday through Friday)
- Positions not closed by 3:10 PM CT will be automatically liquidated
- Trading resumes at 5:00 PM CT each weekday
- After weekends, trading resumes on Sunday at 5:00 PM CT
News Trading
News trading is fully allowed at all stages on FundedNext Futures — during the Challenge Phase and on the FundedNext Account. You won't have any restrictions around high-impact economic events.
We found this to be a notable advantage over many competing futures prop firms that restrict or prohibit trading during major news releases.
Maximum Account Allocation
FundedNext Futures allows you to hold multiple accounts:
• Maximum total allocation: up to $300,000 across all accounts (can scale to $1,000,000+ through the Live Trading Program)
• Multiple accounts of the same or different challenge types can be held simultaneously
• Account merging is not allowed in FundedNext Futures
Resets
If you breach your challenge account, you can reset at a discounted price rather than purchasing a new challenge:
• Rapid/Legacy reset discount: 12% off the base challenge price
• Bolt reset discount: 8% off the base challenge price
• Resets restart the challenge with fresh parameters
• FundedNext Accounts cannot be reset — only Challenge accounts
Soft Breach vs. Hard Breach
A Soft Breach is triggered when the daily loss limit is hit. Trading is paused for the remainder of the day. The account is not terminated and trading resumes the next day with the daily loss limit reset. This applies only to Legacy and Bolt challenges (Rapid has no DLL).
A Hard Breach happens when the maximum loss limit is hit, or when equity drops to the MLL level during active trading. In this scenairio, the account is permanently terminated and cannot be recovered. A hard breach can also take place if you withdraw 100% of simulated profits from a FundedNext Account.
Prohibited Trading Practices
FundedNext Futures enforces strict rules to ensure trading reflects genuine skill:
โ Automated trading (EAs/bots) is prohibited. All automated execution systems, expert advisors, and trading bots are not allowed.
โ Copy/group trading: Unauthorized copy trading or group trading across accounts is prohibited. Accounts flagged for trading similarity may be terminated.
โ Micro-scalping: Defined as 40%+ of total profit from trades closed within 10 seconds. Does not result in breach, but triggers warnings and potential profit deductions.
โ Spoofing/layering: Placing fake orders to manipulate perceived supply/demand is prohibited.
โ Latency arbitrage: Exploiting price feed delays or simulated fill advantages is not allowed.
โ DCA (Dollar Cost Averaging): Adding to losing positions without a structured plan is prohibited on simulated accounts.
โ Grid trading and Wash trading are both Prohibited.
โ Hedging correlated instruments isn't allowed across one or multiple accounts.
โ Trading within 2% of CME price limitsis strictly prohibited to prevent excessive risk.
โ Trading during extreme market gaps/low-liquidity conditions.
โ Negative risk-to-reward ratio: A maximum 5:1 risk-reward ratio is enforced.
โ HFT (High-Frequency Trading): Accounts flagged as "hyperactive" (200+ trades or 2,000+ server messages per day) may be restricted. Accounts generating 15,000+ messages are disabled.
โ Bracket order exploitation: Exploiting no-slippage conditions with tight bracket orders is prohibited.
Inactivity Policy and VPN/VPS Usage
We had to log in or place at least one trade within 35 consecutive days to keep the account active, otherwise the account could be deactivated.
Also, you can use VPN and VPS. FundedNext allows VPN and VPS usage for trading, though you should ensure to have a stable connectivity.
Age Restriction and KYC Verification
You must be at least 18 years old to use FundedNext Futures services. If you are not, you won't be allowed to open a simulated trading account. The firm states that there are legal requirements and contracts to be signed, and for these, under 18 can't llegally respond to.
Additionally, KYC verification is required before receiving Performance Rewards. In our experience, we were asked to submit Government-issued ID. The KYC process can be completed through the FundedNext dashboard.
Tax Compliance for US Traders
FundedNext provides tax compliance documentation for US traders. Consult a tax professional for specific guidance on how Performance Rewards should be reported in your jurisdiction.
Market Data
FundedNext provides Level 1 market data by default on Challenge and FundedNext Accounts. Level 2 market data (depth of book, full order book) may be available through the trading platform and could involve additional fees on Live accounts.
Live Trading Program
The FundedNext Live Trading Program is the most advanced stage, transitioning consistent simulated traders to real capital trading.

โ the guaranteed 24-hour payout with $1,000 penalty,
โ no daily loss limit on Rapid,
โ news trading allowed everywhere,
โ the Legacy 15% Challenge Phase reward, and the Live Trading Program pathway.
โ But as everything, there is a downside you must know about: The 80% profit split (lower than competitors offering 90–100%), the mandatory intraday-only trading, the prohibition on automated trading/EAs, the trailing EOD drawdown, the micro-scalping restrictions, and the 5:1 risk-reward ratio requirement.

Final Assessment: Is FundedNext Futures Right for You?
FundedNext Futures is a competitive futures prop firm built around a one-time fee with no subscriptions or activation charges, a guaranteed 24-hour payout promise backed by a $1,000 penalty, and full flexibility around news trading. It is a legal and registered company with a broad ecosystem that encompasses 65,000+ Trustpilot reviews, $150M+ in total payouts, and multiple industry awards. This recognition provides a credibility foundation.
According to our investigation, this firm can be a match if you are a CME futures day trader (ES, NQ, CL, GC, and more) who values flexible evaluation styles, competitive pricing from $79.99 for a $25K account, and access to both E-mini and micro contracts across four CME exchanges. The two challenge paths offer strategic choice: the Rapid Challenge is the fastest route to a funded account with no daily loss limit, no minimum trading days, theoretically passable in a single session, while the Legacy Challenge is more structured but rewards traders with a 15% profit share during the challenge phase and removes the consistency rule entirely on the funded account. Finally, you will have multiple platform options: Tradovate, NinjaTrader, TradingView, plus a Live Trading Program, offering a real-capital pathway for traders who accumulate $100,000+ in simulated profits.
But, on the other sde of things, the main limitations deserve careful consideration. You can't hold positions overnight or on weekends, use automated trading systems, EAs, or bots (prohibited), or rely on copy trading, group trading, or DCA strategies on simulated accounts. All these practices are strictly prohibited. The 80% profit split trails industry leaders like Apex and My Funded Futures, which offer 90–100% on initial payouts. The trailing EOD drawdown, micro-scalping monitoring (40%+ of profit from sub-10-second trades triggers warnings), mandatory 5:1 risk-reward ratio, and initial withdrawal caps add guardrails that some traders will find too restrictive. Also, Account merging is not available, and coverage is limited to CME Group — Eurex and ICE futures traders need to look elsewhere.
For futures day traders who want a one-time fee, flexible evaluation options, unrestricted news trading, and a fast payout guarantee, FundedNext Futures is a competitive choice — provided you can work within the intraday-only requirement, the 80% profit split, and the prohibition on automated trading.
