E8 Markets, operating as E8 Funding LLC, is a US-based proprietary trading evaluation firm founded in November 2021 by CEO Dylan Elchami. The company is headquartered in Dallas, Texas (4101 McEwen Rd, Suite 205, Dallas, TX 75244) and has grown to serve over 200,000 registered traders worldwide. E8 Markets has a Trustpilot rating of 4.5 out of 5 based on over 3,200 reviews and has distributed over $65 million in total payouts to funded traders through 2026.
What sets E8 Markets apart from most competitors is its multi-asset coverage and customizable evaluation structure. E8 offers forex, futures, and cryptocurrency trading under a single roof. The firm currently offers four primary evaluation models: E8 One (fully customizable 1-step), E8 Signature Forex (fixed 1-step with EOD drawdown), E8 Signature Crypto (1-step for crypto markets), and E8 Signature Futures (1-step for CME futures). Account sizes range from $5,000 to $500,000, profit splits are customizable up to 100%, and drawdown levels can be configured from 3% to 14% depending on the account type. All evaluations are conducted on simulated accounts with no time limits.
This E8 Markets review covers every technical detail across all account types: evaluation parameters, drawdown mechanics (real-time trailing vs. EOD dynamic), daily loss limits, consistency rules, funded account (E8 Trader) rules, payout structure and eligibility, trading platforms, instruments, commissions, prohibited practices, and everything else you need to determine if E8 Markets fits your trading style.
How E8 Markets Works
E8 Markets operates a simulated trading evaluation model. Traders pay a one-time fee to access a simulated evaluation account, demonstrate profitability while respecting drawdown rules, and, upon passing, receive a funded E8 Trader account where they earn real payouts based on simulated performance. The process works in two stages:
- Evaluation Phase: Purchase an evaluation, trade on simulated capital, hit the profit target (typically 6%) while staying within drawdown and daily loss limits in order to pass the evaluation. The positive part of this is that there are no time limits, and most account types have no minimum trading day requirements.
- E8 Trader Account (Funded Stage): After passing the evaluation, your performance is automatically reviewed, and you receive an E8 Trader account within 24 hours. Trading rules become stricter at this stage, and you must comply with consistency rules, buffer requirements, and payout eligibility criteria that apply depending on the account type. Payouts are processed through Rise (crypto) or Plane (bank transfer).
π Important: E8 Markets does not operate as a broker. The firm provides simulated accounts via third-party platforms and data-feed providers. All trading at both the evaluation and funded stages occurs on simulated capital. The firm may use trade data for its own proprietary purposes.
Account Types Overview in E8 Markets
E8 Markets currently offers four primary evaluation models across three asset classes. Each model has distinct rules, platforms, and drawdown mechanics.

E8 One covers Forex and Crypto with full parameter customization. E8 Signature covers Forex, Crypto, and Futures with fixed parameters and a more forgiving EOD drawdown. All four account variants are compared below. We evaluated the differences because they are critical to selecting the right account.

How The Evaluation Phase Works for All Accounts
In E8 Markets, the evaluation is a single-step simulated trading challenge. You pay a one-time fee or a monthly fee for Futures, trade with simulated capital, follow the rules, and if you hit the profit target without breaching your drawdown, you get your funded E8 Trader account.
With this prop firm, there are no minimum trading days, no time limits, and no pressure to rush. However, every account has a daily drawdown and a maximum drawdown that must never be breached.
Follow These Steps to Pass the Evaluation
-
Choose & Purchase:
Pick your account model (E8 One or Signature), asset class (Forex, Crypto, Futures), account size, and only for E8 One, your drawdown level and profit split. Pay the one-time fee.
-
Trade & Hit Target:
Trade on the live market using your chosen platform. Reach the profit target (6% for Signature, ~8% for E8 One) in closed P&L without breaching your drawdown or daily loss limit.
-
Pass & Get Funded:
Once the profit target is met with all rules intact, your account is reviewed, and you receive an E8 Trader-funded account; the same drawdown rules apply, but now real payouts are possible.
π‘ If you fail, your account closes. Breaching the max drawdown or daily loss limit closes the account permanently and you will have to purchase a new evaluation to try again. There are no resets, no free retries, and no partial credit.
E8 One: Complete Parameters
E8 One is the most flexible account type, offering full customization of drawdown levels, profit targets, and profit splits at checkout. This is the only E8 model that lets you configure evaluation parameters to match your trading style. Nonetheless, this model is only available for Forex and Crypto, not for Futures.
π How does the Dynamic Drawdown work? The floor only moves when you close a profitable trade. Holding a large open position does not raise the floor. Once closed profits equal the drawdown amount (e.g., $4,000 on a $100K / 4% account), the floor locks permanently; it will never move again, no matter how much more you earn.

E8 One Account Sizes and Pricing
Pricing increases significantly as you select higher drawdown percentages and higher profit splits. The relationship is roughly linear; doubling your drawdown roughly doubles the price. Selecting 100% profit split adds a substantial premium.
The cheapest entry point is $5K at 4% drawdown with 80% split for approximately $40 (before discounts). E8 Markets frequently offer promotional discounts of 20–50%; always check for current offers.

Important: E8 One uses real-time trailing drawdown. The max drawdown follows your highest equity in real time (including unrealized P&L), not just end-of-day closes. This is the critical distinction from Signature accounts. Once the drawdown locks (reaches the initial balance), it becomes static.
The E8 One Funded Stage: E8 Trader Rules
You will be in this stage once you have passed your evaluation. At this stage, you must comply with the following rules:
- E8 Markets has an Unlimited Trading Days rule. However, a trade has to be placed at least once in 60 days.
- 40% Best Day Rule (consistency rule): No single trading day's profit can exceed 40% of your total accumulated profit when requesting a payout.
- Daily Drawdown Relationship Rule: Your net profit (payout share) must be greater than 50% of the account's daily drawdown limit.
- Copy trading is allowed.
- News Trading Restriction: On funded accounts, a 5-minute prohibition window applies before and after high-impact news events, profits earned during this window may be removed.
- Payout Methods: Plane (bank transfer) or Rise (crypto)
E8 Signature Account
This is the second type of account available in E8 Markets, a structured, multi-market model with fixed parameters. The standout feature is the EOD Dynamic Drawdown; the floor only recalculates once per day at market close, giving intraday trading full breathing room. Daily loss on funded accounts is a 2% soft pause rather than a hard breach. It is not customizable for drawdown or profit split.
This is the only E8 model that includes Futures, along with Forex and Crypto. Let's delve into each one of them.
E8 Signature Forex: Complete Parameters
E8 Signature Forex is a fixed-parameter 1-step evaluation designed for forex and CFD traders who want EOD drawdown protection. Parameters cannot be customized.
Funded accounts use a 2% soft daily pause, hitting it stops trading for the day, but the account stays open. The payout split is fixed at 80%, and EOD drawdown amounts are: $1,000 on $25K, $2,000 on $50K, $3,000 on $100K, and $4,000 on $200K.

Key E8 Signature Forex details:
- EOD Dynamic Drawdown only adjusts at the end of each trading day (5 PM EST) based on your highest closing balance; intraday equity swings do not affect the drawdown.
- Positions are auto-closed daily at the end of the trading session.
- The 2% Daily Pause on funded accounts stops trading for the remainder of the day if triggered; it is a soft pause, not a breach.
- A profitable day is defined as one where the closed P&L is at least 0.3% of the account balance.
- News trading is allowed without restrictions at both evaluation and funded stages.
- EAs are permitted (no HFT, latency arbitrage, or copy trading systems).
- Weekend and overnight holding are allowed during the evaluation phase; positions auto-close daily on funded accounts.
- Swap-free option is available.
E8 Signature Crypto: Complete Parameters
The E8 Signature Crypto model follows the same structure as Signature Forex but is designed specifically for cryptocurrency markets. It shares the same payout rules as Signature Forex: 35% Best Day consistency rule, minimum profitable days requirement, and 4% buffer. Crypto spreads are generally wider than forex due to inherent market volatility and liquidity conditions. Check out our summary:

E8 Signature Futures: Complete Parameters
E8 Signature Futures is a 1-step evaluation for CME Group futures traders. It uses EOD drawdown like the other Signature models but has stricter operational rules — notably, intraday-only trading (no overnight holds) and no EAs allowed.
This account uses E8's proprietary Futures platform exclusively: NinjaTrader, Sierra Chart, and all third-party platforms are not supported. Unlike all other E8 accounts, Futures billing is monthly, and auto-renews if an account is closed after failing.

Key Signature Futures details:
- Uses E8's proprietary futures platform: NinjaTrader, Sierra Chart, and other third-party futures platforms are not supported.
- All positions must be closed before the trading session ends (3:10 PM CT), no overnight or weekend holding
- Manual trading only: EAs, bots, and automated systems are prohibited.
- Instruments include major CME Group futures: equity indices (ES, NQ, YM, RTY), metals (GC, SI), energy (CL, NG), and more.
- DOM (depth of market) is available with clean execution and minimal slippage during regular hours.
- The EOD drawdown is the same forgiving mechanic as other Signature accounts; it adjusts only at end-of-day.
Drawdown Mechanics
Understanding how drawdown works is critical at E8 Markets because the two drawdown types behave fundamentally differently:
1. Real-Time Trailing Drawdown (E8 One)
E8 One uses a dynamic drawdown that trails your highest equity in real time, including unrealized P&L. It works identically to intraday trailing drawdown at other prop firms. If your equity rises to a new high during the trading session, the drawdown floor moves up immediately and never moves back down.
β‘οΈ Example ($50K E8 One, 4% drawdown = $2,000): Starting breach level is $48,000. Your equity reaches $52,000 during a trade, so the breach level moves to $50,000. The trade pulls back and you close at $51,500. Breach level stays at $50,000 because it tracked the $52,000 equity peak. Once the drawdown floor reaches the initial balance ($50,000), it locks permanently and stops trailing.
2. EOD Dynamic Drawdown (All Signature Accounts)
Signature accounts (Forex, Crypto, Futures) use end-of-day drawdown that only adjusts once daily at 5 PM EST based on your highest end-of-day closing balance. Intraday equity swings do not affect the drawdown threshold.
β‘οΈ Example ($50K Signature Forex): Starting drawdown threshold is set by account size as a fixed dollar amount. If you end Day 1 at $52,000, the drawdown adjusts upward based on the new high close. If Day 2 closes at $51,500, the drawdown stays at the previous level (no new high). This means you can experience significant intraday drawdowns without affecting your drawdown floor, a major advantage for traders who use wide stops or experience temporary adverse moves.
2% Daily Pause (Signature Funded Accounts)
On all Signature-funded accounts, a 2% daily pause applies. If your intraday losses reach 2% of your balance, trading stops for the remainder of the day. This is a soft pause, not a breach. It means there is no permanent damage and no account termination, and trading resumes the next session. This provides automatic daily loss protection without the permanent consequences of a hard daily loss limit.
Payout Structure and Eligibility
E8 Markets uses different payout rules depending on the account type. Understanding these is essential because payout eligibility involves multiple conditions that must all be met simultaneously.
E8 One Payout Rules
Check out the rules for E8 One:
- Profit Split: 80% default, customizable to 90% or 100% at checkout
- 40% Best Day Rule: No single day's profit can exceed 40% of total accumulated profit at payout request
- Daily Drawdown Relationship: Net profit (payout share) must exceed 50% of the daily drawdown limit
- Payout Methods: Plane (bank transfer, 2–3 days) or Rise (crypto, 12–24 hours)
- Payout Frequency: On-demand (after meeting all eligibility criteria)
- Processing Time: Typically 2–5 business days total
E8 Signature Payout Rules (Forex, Crypto, Futures)
Follow these rules for all E8 Signature accounts:
- Profit Split: 80% (fixed, not customizable)
- 35% Best Day Rule: No single day's profit can exceed 35% of total accumulated profit at payout request
- Minimum Profitable Days: 3 profitable days required for the first payout; 5 profitable days required for all subsequent payouts (a profitable day = closed P&L of at least 0.3%)
- Buffer Requirement: 4% of initial account balance must be maintained as a buffer before payouts can be processed
- Minimum Payout: At least 4% of the initial or scaled account balance
- Payout Methods: Plane (bank transfer) or Rise (crypto)
Scaling Structure
E8 Markets does not offer traditional balance scaling on E8 One or Signature accounts. Your account balance stays fixed; to access more capital, you run multiple funded accounts rather than growing a single one. With each profit withdrawal, the overall drawdown limit rises by 1% per payout, up to 14%. This provides increasing risk tolerance over time without changing the base account size.
Legacy accounts (E8 Classic and E8 Track) had balance-based scaling where the account balance increased with each payout — but these are no longer part of the main product lineup.
Trading Platforms
E8 Markets supports different platforms depending on which market you trade. You cannot mix platforms across markets. We evaluated the platforms available in E8 Markets:
|

Available Platforms |

Forex/CFDs |
cTrader, Match Trader, TradeLocker, Platform 5 (MT5 equivalent) |
|

E8 Futures Platform (proprietary) |
Consider these important aspects about E8's platforms:
- cTrader offers clean execution, depth of market, and native cAlgo support for algorithmic strategies
- Match Trader provides built-in analytics and social trading functionality
- TradeLocker is the default for Signature accounts, web-based with TradingView integration
- Platform 5 is Virtual Markets' MT5 equivalent
- US traders cannot use MT5 or cTrader for forex due to US regulations; use Match Trader, TradeLocker, or Platform 5 instead
- E8 Futures Platform is proprietary; NinjaTrader, Sierra Chart, Rithmic, and other third-party futures platforms are not supported
- E8 Signature accounts (Forex/Crypto) are locked to TradeLocker only
Tradable Instruments
E8 Markets covers a broader range of asset classes than most prop firms:
- Forex: Major, minor, and exotic currency pairs (40+ pairs), EUR/USD, GBP/USD, USD/JPY, AUD/USD, and many more
- Indices: US30, US100, US500, UK100, GER40, FRA40, AUS200, and others
- Metals: Gold (XAUUSD), Silver (XAGUSD)
- Energy/Commodities: Crude Oil, Natural Gas, and others
- Stocks: Select individual equities (CFDs)
- Cryptocurrencies: BTC, ETH, and altcoins (via Signature Crypto)
- Futures: CME Group products — equity indices (ES, NQ, YM, RTY), metals (GC, SI), energy (CL, NG), and more (via Signature Futures)
Individual stocks are not available on all platforms. Check instrument availability for your specific account type before purchasing.
Leverage
Leverage defines how much buying power you have relative to your actual balance. Higher leverage amplifies both gains and losses. For instance, a 1:100 leverage means you control $100 in the market for every $1 in your account. E8 sets different leverage limits depending on the account model and asset class:

Commissions and Spreads
E8 Markets offers two pricing models on E8 One accounts: raw spread (with per-lot commissions, approximately $5 per standard lot round-trip on major forex pairs) and commission-free (higher spreads, no separate commission).
Instead, Signature accounts use raw spreads with commissions by default. The exact commission varies by symbol and is displayed in the Trading Symbols list within the platform.
Futures commissions follow standard exchange fee schedules. No additional platform surcharges or data-feed charges apply. E8 Markets typically offers competitive spreads averaging 0.8–1.2 pips on EUR/USD during London and New York sessions.
Trading Rules in E8 Markets
We already discussed some of the trading rules across sections. Here's a quick list of them, read before investing:
News Trading
• Evaluation phase (all accounts): News trading is fully allowed without restriction
• E8 One funded: 5-minute prohibition window before and after high-impact news events — opening, closing, or modifying trades during this window is prohibited, and profits earned during the window may be removed
• Signature Forex/Crypto funded: News trading is allowed without restrictions
• Signature Futures funded: 5-minute restriction before and after high-impact news events
Overnight and Weekend Holding
• E8 One: Overnight and weekend holding permitted at all stages
• Signature Forex: Overnight and weekend holding permitted during evaluation; positions auto-close daily on funded accounts
• Signature Crypto: Overnight and weekend holding permitted
• Signature Futures: Intraday only — all positions must be closed before 3:10 PM CT. No overnight or weekend holding at any stage
Expert Advisors (EAs) and Automation
• E8 One: EAs permitted, no HFT, latency arbitrage, or copy trading systems
• Signature Forex and Crypto: EAs permitted, same restrictions
• Signature Futures: EAs and automated trading strictly prohibited, manual trading only
Copy Trading
Copy trading using third-party services is prohibited across all account types. Each account must be traded independently. Using signals from external sources (communities, social media, research reports) to execute identical trades is also restricted.
Prohibited Practices
E8 Markets enforces the following restrictions across all account types: High-frequency trading (HFT) and latency arbitrage, Martingale and grid trading without proper risk management, Copy trading systems and signal-based execution from third parties, Strategies that exploit simulated pricing discrepancies, Using one trading approach to pass the evaluation and a fundamentally different approach on the funded account, Spoofing, layering, or other disruptive order practices, Account sharing or trading on behalf of others, and VPN usage to circumvent geographic restrictions (VPN for privacy is acceptable).
Restricted Countries
E8 Markets is available globally, but cannot onboard traders from certain countries due to regulatory requirements, platform provider limitations, and payment processor restrictions. Your eligibility is determined by the document you provide during KYC verification, not your current physical location.
You must be of legal trading age in your region and complete E8's KYC process (government-issued ID required) before accessing a funded account or receiving payouts. Some restricted countries include: Croatia, Namibia, Sudan, Albania, Angola, Barbados, Ghana, Lebanon, Gibraltar, China, Mali, Russia, Turkey, Indonesia, Venezuela, Vietnam, Slovenia, and many others.
Please check the full list on the E8 Markets official website.
KYC and Verification
KYC verification is required after passing the evaluation and before receiving the funded E8 Trader account. How to do it:
First, go to the E8X dashboard under "User Settings" and click on "Verification". Then, upload front and back photos of your government-issued ID, take a selfie, and wait for the verification email. The process is typically completed within 24 hours.
Payment Methods and Refunds
Evaluation fees can be paid via credit or debit cards, cryptocurrency, and other supported methods. They are non-refundable once trading has begun. E8 Markets does not offer free resets or retries; if you fail, you must purchase a new evaluation.

Who Is E8 Markets Best For?
E8 Markets is a strong fit if you:
- Want multi-asset access (forex, futures, and crypto) under one prop firm
- Value customizable evaluation parameters: dial in your own drawdown, profit target, and profit split in E8 One Account
- Prefer EOD drawdown that ignores intraday equity swings (Signature accounts)
- Want up to 100% profit split (E8 One with premium add-on)

- Want traditional balance scaling on a single account (E8 uses drawdown scaling + multiple accounts instead)
- Need unrestricted news trading on E8 One funded accounts (5-minute restriction applies)
- Prefer firms with longer track records (E8 founded 2021 vs. FTMO 2015, TopStep 2012)
- Want full EA automation on futures accounts (manual only on Signature Futures)
- Dislike the buffer requirement on Signature accounts (4% of initial balance must remain before payouts)
- Are uncomfortable with the multiple conditions for payout eligibility (Best Day rule + minimum profitable days + buffer + daily drawdown relationship)

β E8 Markets' main competitive advantages include multi-asset coverage (forex + futures + crypto), fully customizable evaluation parameters (E8 One), EOD drawdown on Signature accounts, profit split up to 100%, no time limits, competitive pricing starting at $33, and a proven $65M+ payout track record.
β Its main trade-offs include stricter funded-stage rules, such as multiple payout eligibility conditions, real-time trailing drawdown on E8 One (vs. EOD), proprietary futures platform only (no NinjaTrader), no traditional balance scaling, and the 5-minute news restriction on E8 One funded accounts.
Final Ideas and Conclusion
E8 Markets has established itself as a versatile multi-asset prop firm that covers a combination of forex, futures, and cryptocurrency under a single brand. The firm's $65 million+ in total payouts and 200,000+ registered traders demonstrate meaningful traction in a competitive market. The 4.5 Trustpilot rating and reviews praise their payout speed, rule clarity, and customer support responsiveness.
The E8 One model is the firm's strongest offering for experienced traders. The possibility to customize drawdown (4%–14%), profit split (80%–100%), and account size ($5K–$500K) creates a configuration matrix that no other prop firm matches in terms of flexibility. Conservative traders can select 14% drawdown with a higher profit target for maximum breathing room, while aggressive traders can use the default 4% drawdown at the lowest possible cost. The 100% profit split option, while expensive, eliminates the firm's share and can pay for itself above approximately $1,500 in profits.
The Signature accounts (Forex, Crypto, Futures) offer a different value proposition centered around EOD drawdown. For traders who hold positions through intraday volatility, particularly swing traders and momentum traders, the EOD calculation is materially more forgiving than real-time trailing. The 2% daily pause acts as an automatic safety net rather than a hard breach, preserving accounts on bad days. The 35% Best Day consistency rule and 5-profitable-days requirement for payouts do add friction, but they encourage the distributed, consistent trading patterns that sustainable prop trading requires.
β The main limitations are structural. The proprietary E8 Futures Platform locks futures traders out of NinjaTrader, Sierra Chart, and the broader Rithmic ecosystem, a disadvantage for traders with established workflows on those platforms. The funded-stage rules layer multiple conditions for payout eligibility (Best Day + profitable days + buffer + daily drawdown relationship), which creates complexity that simpler firms avoid. The lack of traditional balance scaling means growth comes through running parallel accounts rather than building a single larger account. And the 5-minute news restriction on E8 One funded accounts will frustrate high-impact news traders.
If you are looking for multi-asset flexibility, customizable evaluation parameters, EOD drawdown protection, and a proven payout track record from a US-based firm, E8 Markets offers one of the most configurable and comprehensive programs available. The key is choosing the right account type for your strategy: E8 One for customization and platform choice, Signature Forex for EOD drawdown and swing trading, Signature Crypto for digital asset exposure, and Signature Futures for disciplined CME day trading.
