blueberry funded prop firm review

Blueberry Funded offers seven distinct account types, the widest selection of any single forex prop firm. That lineup includes a Synthetics Challenge for trading custom volatility indices, a dedicated Stock Challenge, two instant funding models, and three evaluation-based paths. All of it runs on Blueberry Markets' ASIC-regulated broker infrastructure, which means the execution engine, liquidity, and platform connectivity come from a firm that processes real client orders. Challenges start at $25. This review covers every account type, rule, platform, drawdown mechanic, and pricing detail.

The firm is not available to traders in the United States, Australia, Russia, or the UAE. All trading takes place on simulated accounts. Blueberry Funded also operates a separate futures arm at blueberryfutures.com.

Read our full review below. We tested Blueberry's product, registered and analyzed the platform to give you all the details about their drawdown mechanisms, prices, structure, policies and more.

The Synthetics Challenge: Trading Engineered Volatility

This is the account type that no other major prop firm offers. The Synthetics Challenge provides access to 12 custom synthetic indices across four categories: SYN, Surge, Drop, and Leap. Each category is built with specific mathematical volatility profiles rather than tracking real-world assets. Price action is generated algorithmically with tick intervals as short as one second, running 24/7 without influence from economic news, geopolitical events, or market closures.

The Synthetics Challenge uses a 2-step evaluation with profit targets of 10% in Phase 1) and 5% in Phase 2). The maximum drawdown is 10% static, the daily drawdown is 4%, and leverage is 1:30.

  • There is no time limit.
  • The profit split is 80%, scalable to 90%.
  • Lot size restrictions are exempt on synthetic accounts.

If your strategies are built on structured volatility patterns and pure technical analysis, the Synthetics Challenge removes all fundamental noise. Performance depends entirely on your ability to read and react to engineered price structures. Pricing starts at $25 for the $5K account, the cheapest entry point in Blueberry Funded's entire lineup.

Blueberry Funded Account Types

Blueberry Funded offers seven account types across three categories. Knowing which drawdown type applies to each is critical before purchasing. Becaue of this, we prepared the following sections, charged with details about each option.

📌 For a detailed comparison of how static differs from trailing, see our guide to trailing drawdown vs. EOD drawdown.

Prime 2-Step Challenge

The Prime 2-Step is Blueberry's flagship evaluation. There is a minimum of 3 trading days per phase (profitable days with at least 0.5% closed profit). More details listed here:

  • Phase 1 requires 8% profit.
  • Phase 2 requires 6%.
  • The Daily drawdown is 4%, higher of balance or equity at EOD.
  • The Maximum drawdown is 10% static.
  • Leverage is 1:50.
  • No time limit. No consistency rule.

The static 10% drawdown and absence of a consistency rule make this the most predictable account in the lineup. This means that the drawdown floor never moves regardless of profits earned.

Classic 2-Step Challenge

The Classic 2-Step follows the same Phase 1/Phase 2 structure that we saw in the Prime 2-Step, with 10% and 6% targets. Other details you have to cconsider:

  • The Daily drawdown is 5%. The
  • Maximum drawdown is 10% static.
  • Leverage is 1:50.

The higher daily drawdown (5% vs 4%) gives more intraday room than the Prime model, but at a slightly higher account price.

1-Step Challenge

The 1-Step evaluation requires 10% profit in a single phase. For this challenge, You must meet a minimum of 3 profitable trading days, and:

  • There is no time limit.
  • The Daily drawdown is 4%.
  • The Maximum drawdown is 6% static.
  • Leverage is 1:30.

The 6% max drawdown is tighter than the 2-Step models, giving less margin for error. This challenge is for you if you have high win rates and controlled risk per trade.

Rapid Challenge

The Rapid Challenge is a 7-day sprint evaluation. Check out more information about this plan from the list:

  • The profit target is 5%.
  • The Daily drawdown is 3% (equity-based).
  • The Maximum drawdown is 4% trailing (locks at initial balance).
  • Leverage is 1:30.
  • No minimum trading days.

The trailing drawdown on Rapid behaves differently from the static drawdown on other models. As profits grow, the floor moves up and, as a result, it reduces effective breathing room. Position sizing must account for this dynamic.

Instant Elite

Instant Elite skips the evaluation. You receive immediate access to a simulated funded account. And also these:

  • No profit target.
  • A Maximum drawdown of 10% trailing (locks at initial balance).
  • No daily drawdown limit.
  • A Leverage of 1:50.

Note that the trailing drawdown on a funded account with no daily limit creates an environment where one large winning day raises the floor permanently.

Instant Lite

Instant Lite is the entry-level instant funding model at Blueberry.

  • The Maximum drawdown is 4% trailing (locks at initial balance).
  • The Daily drawdown is 2%.
  • Leverage is 1:30.

But consider that the 4% trailing drawdown is tight. On a $10K account, the maximum total loss is $400. One bad trade can breach your account. According to our testing, this model demands precise position sizing from the first trade.

Stock Challenge

The Stock Challenge provides access to equity CFDs with a dedicated ruleset. A 30% profit-per-day consistency cap applies at payout time. Also:

  • A Mandatory stop-loss on all trades.
  • Leverage is 1:10.
  • Bear in mind that Stock trading is only available within this specific challenge type. It is not included in the standard 1-Step, 2-Step, or Rapid challenges.

Trading Rules and Restrictions

We prepared a list of rules and restrictions because, we consider that knowing them is crucial to start your investment. Explore with us the drawdown, inactivity rules and prohibited behaviors Bluberry states.

Drawdown Mechanics

Drawdown type varies by account and is the most important detail to understand before investing. Prime 2-Step, Classic 2-Step, 1-Step, and Synthetics all use static drawdown, the floor never moves. Rapid, Instant Elite, and Instant Lite use trailing drawdown that locks at the initial balance.

On trailing accounts, profits raise the floor in real time. A $500 profit on a $10K Instant Lite account moves the floor from $9,600 to $10,100. The effective breathing room remains the same as when the account started.

News Trading

Blueberry Funded enforces a 2-minute restricted window before and after red-folder high-impact news events, a restriction that applies accross all account types. Opening or closing trades during this window is prohibited. Stop-loss and take-profit orders that trigger during the window also count as violations.

No Consistency Rule

The firm does not impose a consistency rule on evaluation or funded accounts (except the Stock Challenge's 30% per-day cap at payout). You can have one large winning day carry the entire evaluation profit without penalty. This is a meaningful differentiator from firms that enforce 35-50% consistency rules.

📌 For more tips on evaluation strategy, see our guide on how to pass a prop firm evaluation.

Prohibited Strategies

❌ Martingale, grid trading, latency arbitrage, tick scalping, and HFT are banned. Excessive scalping (more than 50% of trades held under 1 minute) triggers a review.

❌ Cross-account hedging is prohibited.

❌ Copy trading is allowed between the trader's own accounts only.

✅ Hedging within a single account (long and short on the same instrument) is permitted.

Weekend and Overnight Holding

Weekend holding and overnight holding are allowed on all Blueberry Funded accounts. There are no forced position closures on Friday or at end of day. This is a clear advantage if you are a swing trader.

Inactivity

Accounts with no trading activity for 30 consecutive days are closed. At least one trade must be placed per 30-day period to keep accounts active.

No Paid Resets

There are no paid account resets. If your account is breached, you must purchase a new challenge to start over. This is a notable difference from firms that offer discounted resets for failed evaluations.

Funded Account Conditions

Profit Split

The starting profit split is 80% across all account types. Through the scaling plan, the split increases to 90%. There are no tiers between 80% and 90%. The split is fixed from the first payout on the initial level. Evaluation fees are not refunded by default after passing.

Payout Schedule

Payouts are available every 14 days by default. A 7-day payout add-on is available at checkout for faster access. Minimum payout is $100 ($200 on Synthetics). Traders must log "active days" with at least 0.5% closed profit per day. All positions must be closed before requesting a payout. Payouts are processed through RiseWorks (bank transfer or crypto) or direct crypto (USDC, USDT). Processing typically takes 1-2 business days.

Scaling Plan

The scaling plan applies to evaluation-based accounts (not Instant models). Requirements: 10% net profit over 3 consecutive months and at least 4 payouts within the 3-month period. Meeting these triggers a 25% balance increase and a profit split upgrade toward 90%. The cycle repeats every 3 months. Maximum allocation per trader is $2 million. Trading rules remain the same at the increased balance.

Platforms and Tradeable Instruments

Trading Platforms

Blueberry Funded supports four platforms: MetaTrader 4 (MT4), MetaTrader 5 (MT5), DXtrade, and TradeLocker. All run on Blueberry Markets' broker infrastructure. Raw spreads start as low as 0.1 pips on pairs like AUD/USD. Commissions are $7 per round-turn on forex.

Markets and Instruments

The firm provides access to over 1,100 instruments: 45 forex pairs (majors, minors, exotics), 52 cryptocurrency pairs (including BTC, ETH, SOL, ADA, DOT), indices, commodities, metals, energies, stocks (via the Stock Challenge only), and 12 synthetic indices (via the Synthetics Challenge only). Leverage varies by account type: 1:50 on Prime 2-Step and Instant Elite, 1:30 on 1-Step, Rapid, Instant Lite, and Synthetics, 1:10 on indices/commodities, 1:2 on crypto.

Pricing: How Much Does It Cost and How Can I Pay?

All fees are one-time payments, there are no monthly subscriptions. Fees are not refundable by default.

As regards the payment methods, you can pay with Visa, Mastercard, and cryptocurrency via the Confirmo payment gateway.

📌 The firm runs promotional codes (e.g., BERRY15 for 15% off). Check our prop firm deals page for active Blueberry Funded discount codes.

Who Is Blueberry Funded Best For?

Blueberry Funded is strongest for traders who want a choice of evaluation structures rather than a one-size-fits-all model. The seven account types cover swing traders (weekend holding allowed), scalpers (no consistency rule), technical purists (Synthetics Challenge), and traders who want immediate funding without evaluation (Instant models). The firm ranks competitively among best prop firms for its breadth of options.

The Prime 2-Step is the best starting point for most traders. The 10% static drawdown, absence of a consistency rule, and no time limit create a forgiving evaluation environment. Pricing is competitive: the $10K Prime 2-Step at $75 undercuts many established firms significantly. For traders comparing this against other forex prop firm challenges, the combination of low cost, static drawdown, and no consistency rule is hard to beat.

The Synthetics Challenge fills a niche that no competitor covers. It is for you if you work with volatility-based models or algorithmic strategies that perform best on structured price data.

Blueberry Funded is not available to US, Australian, Russian, or UAE traders. The firm does not offer paid resets for failed accounts. The news trading restriction (2-minute window) applies to all account types. Recent Trustpilot reviews mention accounts breached for "toxic trading behavior" without detailed explanations, a concern worth monitoring.

Conclusion and Final Ideas

Blueberry Funded is one of the most structurally differentiated prop firms currently operating. Its broker backing through ASIC-regulated Blueberry Markets distinguishes it from the majority of independent white-label prop firms — execution quality, platform stability, and the existence of a regulated parent entity provide a credibility layer that most competitors simply cannot offer. For a firm that has only been operating since August 2024, the product surface area is impressive: nine account types, four platforms, a niche Synthetics Challenge, three instant funding models, and a scaling plan that reaches $2M.

The Prime 2-Step stands out as the most trader-friendly evaluation in the lineup. Static drawdown at 10%, targets of 8% and 6%, no time limit, no consistency rule, weekend holding permitted, and partial news trading flexibility (position exits allowed) — this is a challenge designed with real trading patterns in mind. Pricing is also competitive: the $10K Prime 2-Step undercuts many established firms significantly.

There are legitimate concerns to balance against the positives. The restricted country list is among the most exclusionary in the industry, blocking US, Australian, UAE, and Russian traders, three of the four largest prop trading markets globally. The refund policy is narrow: only card purchases within 14 days with no trades qualify; crypto and UPI payments are non-refundable with no exceptions. There are no paid account resets, which limits recovery options for traders who fail a challenge. Most notably, a pattern of funded account closures for "toxic trading behavior", flagged by internal risk models without trade-specific evidence shared with traders — is a real concern that deserves transparency improvements. Blueberry Funded's response cites multi-layered analysis, but traders should start with smaller accounts to verify payout reliability before committing to larger sizes.

For eligible traders in the 165+ supported regions, Blueberry Funded is a strong and credible choice. The broker-backed infrastructure, clear documentation (the official Outline & Fees PDF is one of the most detailed in the industry), founding membership of The Prop Association, and a diverse account menu make it a firm worth serious consideration, particularly for systematic, swing, and synthetics traders who want institutional-grade infrastructure behind their funded account.
